Interchange is SO Close to Greatness in Tarkov
(Intro) Interchange is so close to being such an amazing map in Tarkov. On paper, Interchange has the best map idea; an abandoned mall with two levels and tons of stores that are desolate that you can explore is such a cool vibe. Imagining myself walking through a big mall that hasn’t seen a soul inside it since the collapse is such a fascinating idea. And while the map has gone through a lot of tumultuous versions over the years, it’s probably the best it has ever been right now. I used to hate this map; feeling as though forcing everyone into a singular location to quest and fight was problematic. Especially considering some of the issues with the map which we will be going over. But after playing the map, and the interchange arc for years now, it has grown on me quite a lot. For as constricted as you can feel walking around the mall, it feels so satisfying and some of the most immersive experiences you can get in EFT. So today, let’s talk about Interchange; what has happened over the years, the quests, the spawns, ups and downs, and see why the map is a solid addition, but with some small changes could be so much better.

(Intro) When it comes to building a kit in EFT, making sure you have the most bang for your buck is an important concept instilled into every Tarkov player. The old adage of: “it matters not what your gun looks like, but what leaves it” is still true to this day. And one concept people still ask questions about, which is a good thing, is how to build an effective kit for as cheap as possible. Budget kits are a core component to Tarkov; allowing players of any skill or account level a fighting chance against those who may have more resources at their disposal. Nothing hurts more than dumping an entire magazine into an enemy and having them turn around and send you back to your stash. And while budget kits are still important to this day in EFT, over the years, with how much the price of items has gone up, and the availability of many others has gone down, it’s become harder and harder to nail down effective budget kits, that don’t break the bank because everything in the game is so much more expensive. So today, let’s go over an example of a budget kit, what makes them so effective and fun to use, how they are a dying breed in EFT, and if they are still viable in 2025.

Is Tarkov’s Loot Finally Better?
(Intro) Loot in Tarkov has had a tumultuous relationship. It's one of the core pillars of the game; something you should always try to do every raid you enter. It allows you the opportunities of riches, gear, and anything else you deem worthy of space in your backpack. And over the course of EFTs life, loot and everything revolving around it has changed dramatically. Maps that were once goldmines, stripped of all their luxuries; leaving not much but the scraps of better times. Nothing has hurt more playing this game over the years, than watching maps and high traffic locations you love to explore and pillage, slowly but surely, lose those treasures that brought home the rubles. For reasons not directly ever mentioned by BSG, with every new map that has been released it has been a mecha for the most loot on the ground or in containers. And then overtime, those places quietly get nerfed again and again, until the state of the economy is reflected in the prices of keys. When a west 301 key isn’t selling for millions on the flea market, you know something is wrong. But it seems as though the leash is being loosened, at least a little. Last week, there was a mention of making loot around some parts of some maps better. And from both looking online to see what others have been saying, to my own personal experiences playing, loot is better. Not by much, but there are some noticeable outliers that we will go over. But all of this begs a question that is universal across the game as a whole: is the loot finally getting better in EFT? Or is this just some kind of placebo?
