Regarding the Image of God
This post will be a bit of a strange one. I wrote most of the following piece about six months ago, as certain governmental policies and actions were starting to roll out - and while reflecting upon certain ongoing atrocities. While these reflections revolve mostly around those claiming and practicing the Christian faith (and our failures to do so rightly) I do believe that they might be provide valuable insight - or at least something to think about - for folks of all perspectives who are willing to read them. So without further ado, here are a few of my recent reflections regarding the biblical concept of the 'image of God.'

Creative Endeavor Unofficial Poetry Challenge WINNERS!
Welp, here we are again. Another very late announcement of winners for one of my unofficial challenges. I have no excuses, other than having spent much of the past two months in social-media-fueled crashout regarding the state of my nation. I have been so emotionally and creatively drained by the darkness of this era. I mean that not as an excuse, merely a word of explanation for my failure to draft this post of winners - a beacon of light in dark, dark times. For anyone who has been waiting on this announcement, I am truly sorry; I hope I can count on your grace and understanding. Much love to you all.

A New Year's Piano Medley
Welp, time for some humble honesty: I did in fact abandon my New Year's resolution for 2025. This is rather expected, for many; jokes are found everywhere about many of us would-be-changed-folks not lasting more than three days into a new year before failing their resolutions. More embarrassing than that, though, I failed at the resolution which I made public on Vocal (and even got a runner-up prize for in their New Year's resolution-based challenge...yikes!). My resolution was to create and share, on YouTube and on Vocal, new original pieces of music every month. I did this for a while, but trailed off a little before the halfway mark through the year, just as some life things started to really pick up frenetic speed.
