What I Am Grateful For
So much gratitude from me today due to a change of attitude
Having an attitude of gratitude
helps me to have a good attitude
and having a good attitude
keeps up my gratitude!
~~
So what can I say, I am blessed
and you may have guessed
that having the attitude
puts me in a good mood
most days and nights
and when seeing sights
~~
But then, I have a grandchild who loves to travel,
and he is on one of those trips, causing me to unravel.
This morning, I remembered to be grateful for the 20
years of warning, I got while he was growing up. He
is one of those who can travel alone, and in the throes
of trouble in this country, and others. Makes no difference,
and all he showed was indifference.
~~
He is Russian Orthodox and has some places to visit,
he told me. He couldn't take the time to just sit
in places here in the States. No way, what fun is that?
I may have encouraged travel, as after a chat
I realized I said, it's good to travel before you have a family.
But I meant here, not there. I am always profamily
So, there is gratitude and keeping gratitude as an attitude.
~~
So moving on, I am grateful that winter is nearing the end.
Those flowers will soon be blooming by my house, and
that I will have an end of SAD for another year!
I am grateful for Mother Earth, Father Sky, Nibi/water, and no fear.
All living things, and family, friends, neighbors, their
families, and partners. I am grateful for the love
of reading, my writing, the success of PaDiF, the help of
others in finding a publisher, and finishing my draft of the book.
All of this and more. And I have started to enjoy my turn to cook.
~~
Hubby makes pizza, egg and cheese sandwiches, and I make
breakfast for dinner. Once in a while, chicken, wild rice soup, and cake
for someone special. I can go on and on, but for now, I will stop
and simply say, I am one grateful woman, and it is time to shop.
