What’s the dream?
When do you first decide what to do with your life? When you are little every teacher you have must ask you the question of who do you want to be when you grow up? Unfortunately, our small little brains either say what our parents do for work or go way out there and say we want to be a doctor or a pilot. I wish we still believed in ourselves as much as we did when we were younger. As we grow up and get older we start to think about the things we enjoy doing most like hanging out with friends, playing our favorite sport, or watching our favorite shows. We don’t think about our future until towards our last year of high school. In high school there are many programs you can apply to including medical, auto, graphic design, and so much more. Here is where you decide what field of work you would enjoy.

Accepting That I'm A 'Plantser' - The Violet Project Diaries - Entry 19
It’s been a while. I really had to think about how I needed to approach my first and second draft with more tact than just “vomit writing”. I worried a lot about repeating the same mistakes, but I think I figured out how to check and double check myself without it being stressful. Actually, it’s become a lot more fun. Taking a big picture approach to the prep work that John Truby suggested (from the last entry) has made sifting through the first draft of the novel so much more exciting. Perhaps this is obvious to anyone who’s written anything, but I was inevitably the one putting so much pressure on myself I ended up paralyzed…again. Hey, at least I’m out of that funk now. So, here’s the new approach I have.

An Ocean of Fanboy Tears
When I started writing my first novel, “Dreamers at Infinity’s Core,” it never occurred to me that I was doing something bad or evil by not knowing how it ended before I was nearly finished writing it. I’ve never been fond of outlining, so I did what I usually do, namely made it up as I went along. Naturally, plot points and story elements occurred to me as I went, often resulting in what could be viewed as an outline-light approach. But I would be lying if I said I knew from the start how the novel ended.

BATSHIT CRAZY Gigger: II Living the example, the American Dream A navigation of sights, sounds, She, wandered in the streets toward a goal, the local grade school. In the late 1970’s that meant navigating the pavements over the booze drenched streets. The smell of stale cigarettes wafted out of the doors of the sleazy speak-easy and late-night hold overs would crawl out shocked into a sundrenched look that was pale, skinny, empty and dark as the sunglasses that fielded the sun. It looked as if their very skin would shrivel at the exposure and then they were gone leaving only a trail of smoke from their rhinestone set cigarette holder and the brand of cigarette from any man.

Finding Myself
When we're little we're constantly being asked what we want to be when we grow up and we always have random, sometimes silly ideas but most people don't grow up to be anything like they stated in their answers. Every year we change and grow into our personalities. We find new interests and discover new talents and things we're actually good at. We never really know what we plan on doing as a career until the 2nd year of college. We go 20 plus years not knowing who we are or what we like, we're constantly changing and trying to figure out who we actually are.

The Building Of A Dream
All of us have dreams. They can appear in the day as we're zoning out and daydreaming, or they can appear in the night as we sleep. Some dreams are pleasant and leave us with warm fuzzy feelings when we wake up in the morning, while others are downright unpleasant nightmares.
