Finding Good Music Under The Radar - Part Two
As any holiday season approaches, the piles of music to listen to grow exponentially and so do the chances of some great music just slipping by for no other reason than there is too much of it. The first reaction of any music fan is to go for the music they are somehow familiar with, something they know they will love, like a lavish reissue of one of their favourites.

Finding Quality Music Under the Radar
These days, with streaming, downloads, and all the available formats, new and old, it is quite easy for good music to fall under the radar. In that respect, it is an almost an even field, whether music is something you seriously follow or you are just a casual fan. It often happens that your pile of vinyl or CDs just grows, or those downloads and possible streaming links are overcrowding your computer.

Putting Together a Great Cover List on Spotify
Why do I like covers so much? Honestly after hearing the original songs so many times, it’s nice to hear different renditions. I now have over 9,000 songs on my Super Hits and their Best Covers playlist on Spotify. You can make your own list too!

Top Five New R&B Songs
Next to Hip Hop, R&B (Rhythmic and blues) is my favorite genre to listen to—from the slow beats to the outstanding vocals that make me wish I could sing ,or rather just hold a simple note. Because I do have a passion for listening to R&B, there are so many songs I could list or recommend, but today I’m sticking to my top five R&B songs that were released in the last two years. So if you’re wondering why “Doo Wop,” by Lauryn Hill isn’t on here, that’s why. These are the songs that you might not have seen on the charts, but surely they deserve to be there, and on your love/feelings playlist.

The Playlist of My Life
Today, music surrounds me; not only do I listen to it, but I write about it, and I hope to pursue a career in the industry. It wasn't always like this though. When I was in elementary school, all I cared about was becoming some amazing fashion designer, but now, as I look back, music was always there and inspiring me.

Must Haves: Bleachers
Bleachers has been such an important band in my life, because they really know how to make me get in the feels, but also I genuinely enjoy Jack Antonoff's music style. They are mainly know for "I Wanna Get Better," their RIAA certified gold debut single.

10 Artists for Deep Thinkers
When it comes to music, I am all over the place. There is not one genre I stick to, and naming my favorite artist would be impossible. With that being said, I'd also say that my taste in music can be pretty unique compared to others' my age. Instead of finding myself obsessed with Post Malone, Arianna Grande, and Cardi B, like everyone I know, I listen to music with softer, sometimes deeper, feelings to them. I know there are others out there like me, who are looking for that "different" type of music, so I'd like to share some of my favorite artists who are also perfect for those people that like to feel and connect to the lyrics.

Pride-Appropriate Music
When it comes to celebrating the LGBT+ community (and especially on Pride Month specifically), what type of music comes to mind? Some might generically suggest Disney, Lady Gaga, Broadway, etc. while others might take a more specific route, and go for actual advocates of the community such as Brendon Urie, Sam Smith, heck even a portion, if not all of the "Ultimate Storytime" soundtrack could qualify for more than one category. However, it might be a good idea to take into consideration the songs that, though they aren't specifically targeting the LGBT+ community, are generic enough, and inspirational enough to give love to more than one community that absolutely needs it. What do I mean by that? Well, to put it into perspective, I, myself, am on the autism spectrum, and I put together a playlist a few years ago of songs that seem to really speak to the community that I am a part of, even though said community wasn't a specific target audience. Generic, but inspirational all the same, pretty much like a single puzzle piece that can fit into any puzzle you place it in. Here are some examples that either come to mind, or come from the playlist that could be beneficial for the LGBT+ community, and some of the reasons why I feel that they are appropriate songs.

My Favourite Music Videos
"Somebody Else"—The 1975 How could I not put one of their videos in this list. They're so artistic, and aesthetically pleasing. And not to mention that their music videos are always kind of cryptic, and have hidden meanings and easter eggs. I think I had to watch this over 10 times before I got all the references to past songs and videos, and to basically understand what on earth was going on. They did well to make a statement with this video, as it sparked so much conversation online from fans expressing their love for the video, and the concept. I would not advise watching this without first going through their back catalogue of videos. But you should definitely do that.
