And in the Death of Her Reputation, She Felt Truly Alive
In light of Taylor Swift winning three awards at the American Music Awards last week, I thought it was a perfect time to revisit the time I *finally* saw her perform live. This night ended up being one of many nights on a sold-out tour that crushed all previous stadium tour records by a female solo artist in history.

Elton John at Nassau Coliseum
Tina and I were on our feet for most of Elton John's fabulous Farewell Yellow Brick Road Concert at the Nassau Coliseum last night. This is the third retiring tour concert we've been to in the past few weeks—Paul Simon and Joan Baez were the previous—and each was superb and special in its own way.

The Ultimate Concert Guide. Top Story - September 2018.
I may only be 15, but I consider myself quite the avid concert go-er. I've been to about 14 concerts (although I probably left out one or two), and a variety of venues; whether it's a stadium, an amphitheater, or a smaller indoor venue I've seen it all.

Paul McCartney at Grand Central Station
My wife and I saw Paul McCartney and his band perform at the Nassau Coliseum a year ago. We loved it. Thought it was the best concert we'd ever attended. Tonight's nearly surprise concert at Grand Central Station, which we just saw live streaming on YouTube, was even better. I'm not kidding. I'd intended to live tweet it at least a little, but the music was too good to do anything other than watch and listen. I managed a couple of snapshots at the beginning, then even that was too much of a distraction from this wonderfully astonishing performance.

Paul Simon Farewell Concert at Prudential Center
Tina and I saw Paul Simon's Farewell Concert at the Prudential Center the other week. We both thought it was one of the very best concerts we've ever attended—and that includes at least two concerts with Simon & Garfunkel decades ago.

Joan Baez at the Beacon Theater
There are so many ways I could begin my review of Joan Baez's superb concert at the Beacon Theater the other night - 1. This is the second time in less than a week that Tina and I attended a farewell concert: Paul Simon's at the Prudential Center in Newark last week and Joan Baez's the other night. In both cases, the concerts were so good that it's hard to believe these masters of music, voice, and lyrics are retiring from touring.

Pearl and Wood
It's approximately just after 4 PM when I roll up to the venue. It's August 12th and a late afternoon is settling into an early evening nicely. Jim and Sharill, the main owners of 4 Mile B&B, greet us with warm smiles. The day has finally come where I get to meet my friend's Pearl And Wood. They're taking the stage that evening and I can't wait. We have been given the honor to open for them as well, which is a glimmering treat! I've known Ellie and Natalie for a while now. Ellie came in right after I came in from some Japan travels and Natalie is a family friend of another fantastic friend of mine that I've had since childhood. Naturally, the streams met for a while and those streams became rivers as it is the way that water works.

September 2nd, 2017 Concert
Man, where do I start?! This tour was so amazing! It was like something I have never seen! I mean like honestly, let me tell you! I have never ever been to the Honda Civic Center since I lived here in California for 5 years. My friend suggested me to go, since they had gotten their tickets. This concert was so amazing. I took my father with me because I did not wanna go alone. So we drove to Anaheim. So when we got there they gave us this pamphlet that had all the tour dates and the long journey they went on their whole tour; we also got t-shirts. I really never know how fun concerts can be. My family and I don't go to a concert very often at all. This was the first one I have actually been to. I would do this again and again because this was so fun and amazing! While going to the concert my dad was playing One Republic songs and even on the way back home! I think my dad had really fun. He would not stop playing songs from One Republic songs for weeks on end!

Niall Horan Round 2
Niall Horan's "On My Own" plays as I sit here typing this, still thinking about the live performance I saw by him last night. On August 17, 2018 Niall Horan played to a crowd of 9,000 screaming fans in Chula Vista, California. I don't think I have ever witnessed someone have as much fun on stage as that lovely lad from Ireland. Not only did he sing, but he joked, laughed, danced, played the guitar and piano, and smiled from ear to ear the entire time. Everyone in the amphitheater—including the people on the stage—were having the time of their lives that night. It was refreshing to see and hear all the love that was passed onto him as he performed. Niall Horan has still got it and I don't think it will be going away any time soon.
