Michael Jordan is the Jay-Z of sport. From his pioneering days in the NBA to baseball to racing, he has left an indelible mark on the world of athletics.

With his recent wins in the realm of racing, Jordan has continued his win streak after a tumultuous time trying to find his footing in the league.

When he finally won earlier this year, he celebrated the fact that he had transitioned from motorbike racing to NASCAR. The drivers like Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace have championed Jordan’s spirit of competition.

Their powers behind the wheel have been able to take them to the pinnacle of success. For all the ways the team has been able to bring about the wins, Jordan has been on a long journey to the top of the motorsports echelons.

If Jordan could see his track record in racing, he’d shake his head and then smile. He’s been able to demonstrate that killer mentality on the track. His immense capacity for challenging the sport has come into play with his ability to spot winners.

That’s what separates Jordan from other competitors/owners. He knows when to get the win and how to look back at the struggles that brought him to those moments of glory.

In his mind, he must be thinking about his next victory. That intoxicating feeling of achieving one’s goals has never been lost on Mr. Airness.

Even when he sold his stake in the Charlotte Bobcats, he knew that he’d find his niche in another sport, another day. When he invested in 23XI, he had already positioned himself as a winner in yet another platform.

His relentless desire to win is what has pushed “God in sneakers” as Larry Burd put it, to excel over and over again. By bringing his winning spirit to the sport, he has transformed a culture that usually shunned people of color and has put them in the spotlight. All based on merit, the men on his team have earned their shine in the winner’s circle.

And that’s what it’s about: winning. There’s no argument in clean wins. There is no constant going back and forth and bickering about what the next guy did or didn’t do. It's all about attaining that ultimate goal of a championship. That’s what Michael Jordan has brought to this team. They have devised a plan, a system for them to continue their dominance. Whether this is only a spell or a full-fledged dynasty, we shall see.

For Jordan to be an outstanding individual, it takes the brainpower, the mind of a winner to accomplish those goals. Had he given up and said he couldn’t cut like his high school basketball team, he would have sulked away, probably never heard of at all.

Instead, by being the champion he is, we won’t have to worry about never having heard of Michaek Jordan. In the fight for dominance, it takes some rough terrain to navigate sometimes. From his time playing baseball to his stint on the Washington Wizards, he’s been able to assess his losses and still be looked at like a hero. Despite his pitfalls with the racing teams, he has nonetheless been a victor in his capacity as an owner.

In his time with the sport, Jordan has transformed it into something magnificent. Just like it took him seven seasons to win his first championship in the NBA, so went his time in NASCAR. He will go down as a legend on many fronts before his time is over. He’ll be remembered for his greatness amid criticism and for his mightiness in the face of derision.
