Years.

Years have passed.

since he sent her that glass bottle.

It arrived hastily across the waves,

Straight unto his son’s arms.

🌟

“What’s that?”

-Said Teddy, looking puzzled.

He looked at his father’s eyes.

The eyes she called ”beautiful”.

The eyes that she caressed lovingly

🌟

When they were shut.

Their corners.

Their wrinkles.

Those wrinkles became deeper, softer.

Scott answered,

🌟

”That’s… a memory.”

His wife arrived.

She had also said,

”What’s that?”

Scott replied,

🌟

”I’ll tell you when we’ll come back

home.”

He told her.

About Sienna, his first love.

How this letter in that bottle

🌟

contained the words

“I love you, Sienna”

And when he got back home

From a long family trip

Where he sent her that letter

🌟

He never saw her again.

“But I‘ve got you, Luna,

And it’s all I need.

You’ve everything I’ve asked for.

Sincerely I say so,

🌟

With every bit of my heart.”

She smile, and said,

”Oh I know, Scotty. You’re

What my heart had chosen,

As well.”

🌟

He kissed her on her forehead.
