The Very Order of Your Existence

A love letter to the moon

If I were the sun,

I would feel honoured to be

The one who illuminates

What you keep in the dark

Everyone would envy me,

You and us.

Even more so than the shadows and stars.

Because I see you.

In all your entirety.

Your fusion;

The very flames that created you.

The chaos in which you were born,

Out of such destruction, such violence

Came you.

Made in orbit,

Bound to the tides of the earth.

The very order of your existence.

I would never eclipse it.

I accept it.

I adore it.

For I see all of you.

Loved this piece 💫 It’s always nice discovering writers who explore emotions I’m also drawn to in my own writing.
