I saw god, at the casino

at the prime rib buffet

He drove a drop top el Camino

and he came ready to play

When he nodded his head

and his left eyebrow raised

The lights began flashing red

oh my, ME! he exclaimed

The biggest jackpot was hit

the biggest one ever seen

In my gut was a pit

when he locked eyes with me

I smiled and said, congratulations

he shrugged and said, it's no big deal

He ended with salutations

I’m really just here for the meal

They asked if taxes should come out

he said, what’s Caesar's is Caesar's

A smirk lingered there on his mouth

as he threw a tip at the dealer

He said, I know what you're thinking

that gambling is some kind of sin

But while the lights were still blinking

he said, but you know the house always wins

A couple weeks passed

and I got some mail from the casino

I read the words as I gasped

a refund check from losses at bingo

I looked up into the heavens

and said, well, what do you know

There is nothing luckier than sevens

and it just goes to show

That sometimes you win

and sometimes you lose

And when you least expect it

sometimes it comes back to you
