I was your perfect alibi

Never did lie

Choosing silence

Hid your violence

Violet was my favorite hue

Black eyes changed view

Only see red

Wishing you dead

Finally free from stranglehold

I am now gold

Lit my own pyre

Rose from the fire

Loved this piece 💫 It’s always nice discovering writers who explore emotions I’m also drawn to in my own writing.

Sad as a lot of this was, I loved the defiance, resilience and power that came through in the end. A nice positive close for another exceptional piece from you, Tina.
