School Principal Murders Pregnant Teacher — Her 3 Year Old Helps Solve The Case
A secret life unravels with murderous consequences...

It was a warm June morning in 2016 when a passer-by noticed a small child wandering alone through the parking lot of an apartment complex in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The 3 year old girl clutched a pillow tightly as she wandered in a daze.
Concerned, the man approached and gently asked where her parents were. Without a word, the child turned and led him to a nearby abandoned car.
What he found inside was chilling — the interior was soaked in blood.

The car belonged to her mother, 40 year old teacher Lyntell Washington — but she was nowhere to be found. Within minutes, the quiet street filled with police cars and flashing lights.
As officers worked the scene, the 3 year old began to share a story with investigators — one that sent a chill through everyone who heard it...

Lyntell was a devoted single mother, known for her warmth and dedication — even earning the title of “Teacher of the Year.” More than anything, she longed for a partner: someone who would stand by her and help build a stable, loving life for her and her young daughter.
She told friends and family she had finally found that person, proudly showing them a photo of her new boyfriend. He was 39 year old Robert Marks, the assistant principal at her school. Lyntell quickly fell deeply in love, and before long, her daughter had given him a name of her own — “Mr. Robbie.”
There was just one problem — Lyntell had no idea Robert was living a double life. He told her he was in the process of getting a divorce, but the truth was far different. Robert was still living with his wife of four years and their two young children.
Juggling a family, a full-time job, and a secret relationship with Lyntell, he somehow managed to go even further — maintaining another affair on the side. Beneath his composed exterior, Robert was hiding a web of deception that was quickly spiraling out of control.

After becoming pregnant with Robert’s child, Lyntell uncovered the truth — he was still married. Almost instantly, his demeanour changed. The caring, attentive man she thought she knew was replaced by someone distant and cold.
She reached out, asking if he would stand by her and support their unborn child. But as pressure mounted, Lyntell made it clear she wouldn’t stay silent. She threatened to reveal their year-long affair to his wife — a secret Robert was desperate to keep hidden.
A secret he was willing to do anything to protect… even kill.

It would be 14th June 2016 when workers in a cane field stumbled upon the heavily decomposed remains of Lyntell and her 7-month foetus in Iberville Parish, Louisiana.
Upon spending a week with his wife and kids on a cruise, Robert returned home with a murderous plan. His internet searches and phone records indicated that he had purchased a gun before luring Lyntell to meet with him under the pretence of talking things through.
It was then that Robert shot her in the head in front of her young daughter before telling the little girl that her mother had gone to sleep. Tragically, investigators later determined that Lyntell's unborn baby girl may have survived if she had received immediate medical care.
Robert abandoned Lyntell’s car in a parking lot just one block from her home — leaving her young daughter inside, her small feet stained with her mother’s blood. The child was left alone through the night, until the passer-by finally found her and called the police.
In the days that followed, the brave little girl would become the prosecution’s most crucial witness — her account helping to bring the truth to light.

After killing Lyntell and their unborn child, Robert contacted Tramica Jackson — another woman he had been secretly involved with — and asked her for a ride.
It wasn’t until she later saw a news report of his arrest that everything began to unravel. Realising the truth, Tramica went to the police. She would go on to testify for the prosecution, revealing that Robert had even lied about his identity — telling her he was a doctor.

Amidst her husband's murder trial, Robert's wife Kala would speak in a televised interview stating that she loved her husband and did not believe his guilt. Fortunately, a jury disagreed.
On 17th December 2021, Robert Marks was found guilty of second-degree murder, second-degree kidnapping, first-degree foeticide, aggravated kidnapping of a child, and several other related charges. He was later sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Lyntell Washington is remembered by her loved ones as a devoted teacher and a deeply caring mother — loyal, kind, and selfless in every aspect of her life. She had a genuine passion for her students and consistently went above and beyond for them, both inside and outside the classroom.
Her daughter, now twelve years old, is living with her father, Darren Glasper. He said that he sees a lot of her mother in her: "I see that she's smart, educated. She's focused when she puts her mind to stuff."
